Welcome to the Agricultural Workcamp at Masogo Resource Centre in Kenya! Participants will work on the model farm, including tasks such as tilling the land, planting crops, applying manure, weeding, watering, and harvesting. Additionally, you will assist in cleaning animal sheds and teaching computer skills to the youth. This workcamp offers you the opportunity to help the local community become more self-reliant and experience the natural beauty and cultural life of Kenya. 主要工作
- 在示範農場工作：翻耕土地、種植作物、施肥、除草、澆水和收割
- 協助清理家畜棚舍
- 在ICT中心教導青少年電腦技能
- 資源中心的維護活動：收集垃圾、美化環境、修建、清理大廳、除草、粉刷牆壁、垃圾處理
- Working in the Model Farm: tilling the land, planting crops, applying manure, weeding, watering, and harvesting
- Assisting in cleaning the sheds for the domesticated animals
- Assisting in training computer skills to the youth at the project's ICT center
- Maintenance activities at the center: collecting litter, landscaping, construction repairs, cleaning the halls, slashing the weeds, painting the walls, and garbage disposal
食宿安排
- 住宿在寄宿家庭的共用房間，需自備睡袋和蚊帳
- 提供當地食材，參加者將共同分擔準備食物的責任
- Accommodation will be at a host house in shared rooms; please bring your own sleeping bag and mosquito net
- Food will come from locally available foodstuffs, and volunteers will share the responsibility of preparing meals
閒餘活動
- 參加者將有機會進行晚間散步、家訪、文化會議和遊戲活動
- 週末可以參觀維多利亞湖和赤道線
- 可在清晨參觀Kakamega雨林，登上森林山，觀賞日出
- Volunteers will have the chance to do evening walks, home visits, cultural meetings, and games
- During weekends, volunteers can visit Lake Victoria and the equator line
- Opportunities for early morning visits to Kakamega Rainforest, hiking on the forest hill, and witnessing a sunrise from the forest hill
