此項目自2022年起與「文化與農業組織」合作，積極推動聯合國可持續發展目標（SDG）1「無貧窮」、SDG 2「零饑餓」及SDG 15「陸地生態」。
該項目位於北中省，這裡是擁有超過1,100年歷史的古都——波隆納魯瓦（Polonnaruwa）的所在地。當王國遷往中部地區後，該地區的人口逐漸減少。1956年，政府推行一項重新安置計劃，將村民遷至此地，並分配土地用於耕作。
如今，這些原住村民的後代已延續到第三代，仍然居住於此。然而，這個社區依然面臨不少挑戰，包括公共設施不足和長期貧困等問題。雖然第一代居民主要從事農業，但第三代居民正積極尋找其他就業機會。我們的合作夥伴組織正積極與當地婦女團體及自助組織合作，推動家庭收入增長計劃，提升社區家庭的生活水平。

The project is situated in the North Central Province, home to the historic city of Polonnaruwa, which served as the capital over 1,100 years ago. After the kingdom relocated to the central region, the population dwindled. In 1956, a government initiative began resettling villages and distributing land for cultivation. Today, the descendants of these original settlers—spanning three generations—continue to reside here. Despite this legacy, the community still faces challenges, including a lack of common facilities and persistent poverty. While the first generation primarily engaged in agriculture, the third generation is now seeking employment opportunities. Our partner organization is actively working with women's groups and self-help initiatives to enhance income prospects for families in the area.

The project consists of two key components. First, volunteers will help families enhance their income-generating activities, including gardening and family workshops. The second part involves visiting local villages to interact with self-help groups, youth, and local institutions, such as temples and kindergartens.
食宿安排
- 住宿於當地村屋，與友善的寄宿家庭同住
- 主人會準備地道美食，體驗當地飲食文化
- 提供電力及過濾飲用水
- 手洗衣物，並在戶外晾乾
- 手機有良好訊號，但無 Wi-Fi
Stay in a village house with a welcoming host family. Meals will be prepared by the host mother, and the house is equipped with electricity and filtered drinking water. There is no Wi-Fi, but mobile phones work well. Laundry will be done by hand.
