About this camp: Youth for Smile, in partnership with a local NGO, aims to revitalize the former orphanage in Lauderi village into a hub for non-formal education. Volunteers will play a crucial role in transforming the building and its surroundings, fostering community engagement and learning.




Work: – Clean and landscape the park around the orphanage.- Clear out old furnishings and debris for a vibrant learning environment.- Foster connections with local residents for collaborative success.- Engage creatively to enhance the educational space.- Contribute to community development and engagement.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in an organization house close to the project site for a rustic experience.- Participate in communal cooking in a simple yet equipped kitchen.- Share cultural dishes during international evenings for a global dining experience.



Leisure Activities: – Explore Eastern Latvia’s lush landscapes and rich history.- Engage in cultural excursions and visit historical sites during downtime.- Immerse in small village life and local traditions.
