About this camp: The project encourages international volunteers to create their own lion heads and paintings, which are significant to the community’s folk culture, aiming to establish Xiushan as a hub for folk arts and crafts. Additionally, it promotes active engagement among elders and fosters youth interest in community activities through various hands-on experiences.




Work: – Encourage international volunteers to create their own lion heads and paintings.- Promote active engagement among elders in their senior life.- Foster youth interest in community activities through international participation.- Introduce cultural customs from participants’ home countries and organize health promotion activities for elders.- Assist in managing and harvesting the organic farm while renovating the community center.



Accommodation and Food: – The activity center has bathroom facilities, kitchen utensils, and a self-cooking fire.- Participants need to bring their own sleeping bags.- Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the local host, while participants prepare dinner by turns with provided ingredients.



Leisure Activities: – The community is close to Taichung International Airport, about 15 minutes away.- Easy access via public transport from Taoyuan International Airport or Taichung International Airport.- Nearby attractions include Taichung Metropolitan Park and the Fengjia night market.
