About this camp: In this workcamp, you can get involved in the preservation of the former Nazi women’s concentration camp Ravensbrck. You will study the history of the Ravensbrck Memorial and engage artistically with the biographies of imprisoned women while performing maintenance work at the memorial.
Work: – Get to know the Ravensbrck Memorial and its history during the first week.- Engage artistically with biographies of imprisoned women and survivors.- Perform various maintenance works in the exterior of the memorial.- Participate in preserving the collections at the memorial.- Collaborate with others in a meaningful historical context.
Accommodation and Food: – Stay in shared rooms in the youth hostel on the memorial grounds.- Enjoy full board with simple meals provided.- Notify about any food allergies during registration.
Leisure Activities: – Experience the beauty of Brandenburg’s lake and river landscape.- Engage in leisure activities such as canoeing, cycling, and swimming.- Access Berlin by train within an hour and enjoy train connections to the Baltic Sea.
