About this camp: The Comic Workshop International Study Camp III will take place in August 2025, focusing on the history of the Sachsenhausen Memorial and the German Resistance Memorial. Participants will engage in a comic workshop themed around solidarity and resistance, alongside educational visits and discussions related to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.




Work: – Visit the Sachsenhausen Memorial and German Resistance Memorial to learn about their histories.- Participate in a comic workshop exploring themes of solidarity and resistance.- Study the history of Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and Soviet Special Camp through discussions with experts.- Engage in maintenance and gardening work on the memorial grounds.- No special skills are required for the physical work involved.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be in a youth hostel within the Sachsenhausen concentration camp complex.- Bed sheets and linen are provided; no sleeping bag is required.- Volunteers will cook their own meals using a communal kitchen, and should bring easy recipes from their home country.



Leisure Activities: – Volunteers must be able to ride a bike for planned bike rides.- Free time activities include exploring Berlin or Potsdam.- Many forests and lakes are available for walking, cycling, or relaxing, depending on participants’ ideas.
