About this camp: Volunteers will work during the night from 20:00 to 08:00 in August and September, focusing on the conservation of sea turtles. Tasks include finding adult turtles, collecting their eggs, releasing newborns, and patrolling beaches, with schedules subject to change based on weather and turtle conditions.
Work: – Work during the night from 20:00 to 08:00 in August and September.- Form two teams among volunteers to alternate nights for work and recovery.- Collect eggs from adult turtles and move them to a protected area called Vivero.- Release newborn turtles into the sea after hatching.- Patrol beaches at night for conservation efforts.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in shared rooms with another volunteer.- Meals will be provided during the camp.- Accommodations are located in Rincon de Guayabitos, a beach town in Nayarit.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is known for its stunning beaches and proximity to major cities like Tepic and Puerto Vallarta.- The area features a diverse landscape of mountainous jungle and coastal islands.- Opportunities for relaxation on quiet beaches or surfing on more active waves.
