About this camp: Volunteers will work at night during August and September, focusing on turtle conservation activities such as finding adult turtles, collecting eggs, and releasing newborn turtles. Teams will alternate work nights for recovery, while weekends are reserved for rest, and the schedule may vary based on weather and turtle conditions.
Work: – Work during the night from 20:00 to 08:00 in August and September.- Form two teams to alternate nights of work and recovery.- Collect eggs from adult turtles and move them to a protected area.- Release newborn turtles into the sea and patrol the beaches at night.- Participate in reconstruction efforts in important turtle camps.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers share a room with another volunteer.- Meals will be provided during the stay.- Located in Rincon de Guayabitos, a scenic beach town.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is bathed by the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by Sierra Madre Occidental.- The area is a popular tourist destination near Tepic, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta.- Offers a mix of quiet beaches for relaxation and lively beaches for surfers.
