About this camp: Volunteers will work during the night from 20:00 to 08:00 in August and September, with alternating shifts for recovery. Activities include finding adult turtles, collecting eggs, moving them to Vivero, releasing newborn turtles, and patrolling beaches. The schedule may change based on weather and turtle conditions.
Work: – Work night shifts from 20:00 to 08:00 during August and September.- Form two teams for alternating work nights and recovery nights.- Find adult turtles and collect their eggs.- Move collected eggs to a protected place called Vivero.- Patrol beaches at night and assist in turtle camp reconstruction.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in shared rooms with another volunteer.- Food will be provided for all volunteers.- Accommodation is located in the beach town of Rincon de Guayabitos.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is located in the Sierra Madre Occidental and is bathed by the Pacific Ocean.- The area is a popular tourist destination near Tepic, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta.- Riviera Nayarit offers both rustic experiences and tranquil beaches for relaxation or surfing.
