About this camp: Volunteers will work during the night in August and September, focusing on sea turtle conservation efforts, which may involve forming two teams for alternating work schedules. Activities include finding and protecting turtle eggs, releasing hatchlings, and patrolling beaches, with a flexible schedule based on weather and turtle activity.
Work: – Work at night from 20:00 to 08:00 during August and September.- Form two teams for alternating night shifts to allow for recovery.- Find adult turtles and collect their eggs for protection.- Release newborn turtles into the sea and patrol the beaches.- Engage in reconstruction activities at important turtle camps.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in shared rooms with another volunteer.- Meals will be provided for all participants.- The accommodation is located in Rincon de Guayabitos, a scenic beach town.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is a popular tourist destination in Nayarit, Mexico.- The area features beautiful beaches and mountainous jungles, ideal for relaxation and exploration.- Opportunities for surfing and enjoying both quiet and lively beaches are available.
