About this camp: Volunteers will work primarily at night during August and September, focusing on sea turtle conservation. Activities include finding adult turtles, collecting eggs, and releasing hatchlings while adhering to a flexible schedule influenced by weather and turtle activity.
Work: – Work at night from 20:00 to 08:00 during August and September.- Form teams to alternate nights of work and rest.- Collect sea turtle eggs and relocate them to a protected area.- Release newborn turtles into the ocean after hatching.- Participate in night patrols along the beaches.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will share a room with one other participant.- Meals will be provided during the stay.- The location is in a beach town, enhancing the experience.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is a picturesque beach town in Nayarit, Mexico.- The area is known for its close proximity to Tepic, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta.- It offers a variety of beach experiences from quiet relaxation to surfing opportunities.
