About this camp: Volunteers will work during the night from 20:00 to 08:00 in August and September, taking turns in teams to find adult turtles, collect their eggs, and release newborn turtles into the sea. The schedule may change based on weather and turtle conditions, with additional activities including patrols and reconstruction of turtle camps.
Work: – Finding adult turtles and collecting their eggs.- Moving the eggs to a protected place called Vivero.- Releasing newborn baby turtles into the sea.- Patrolling the beaches at night.- Making some reconstruction in the most important turtle camps of the region.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will be staying in a shared room with another volunteer.- Food will be provided.
Leisure Activities: – Rincon de Guayabitos is a popular beach town bathed by the Pacific Ocean.- The area offers a mix of mountainous jungle and coastal islands, ideal for outdoor experiences.- Various beach options are available, from quiet spots to those with heavy waves for surfers.
