About this camp: Volunteers will play a key role in educating and raising awareness among youth, children, and rural communities about water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). They will stay with host families and are encouraged to bring innovative ideas while utilizing creative mediums to engage and educate the community.




Work: – Educate communities about safe water practices and prevent waterborne diseases.- Raise awareness about health, hygiene, and sanitation in schools and the community.- Organize cleanliness drives in schools and neighborhoods.- Utilize creative mediums to effectively engage and educate villagers.- Collaborate with the VIN team to develop tools tailored to the local context.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay with a host family or hostel identified by VIN.- Living facilities are simple and basic, with shared areas for male and female volunteers.- Volunteers should bring their sleeping bags as they sleep on simple beds or mattresses.



Leisure Activities: – Jitpurphedi is surrounded by hills, fields, and woods, offering various sightseeing opportunities.- Weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot can be organized by VIN at an additional cost.- The community is located 10-15 km from Kathmandu’s main ring road.
