About this camp: The workcamp focuses on conducting storytelling sessions for children aged 5-16 to inspire a love for reading, while also sorting and cataloging books to establish a child-friendly library. Volunteers will engage in cleaning campaigns, organize mobile reading activities in local schools, and facilitate creative art sessions to enhance children’s writing and critical thinking skills.




Work: – Conduct storytelling sessions to inspire a love for reading.- Sort and catalog books for a child-friendly library.- Organize cleaning campaigns and manage garden areas.- Visit local schools for mobile reading activities.- Facilitate art and craft sessions to promote creativity.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay with host families or at identified hostels.- Living facilities are simple, with shared male and female areas and separate rooms.- Volunteers should bring their sleeping bags as they will sleep on simple beds or mattresses.



Leisure Activities: – Siddhicharan Municipality Ward 2 is located in Nisankhe, about 250 km from Kathmandu.- A local jeep can transport volunteers in approximately 8 to 10 hours.- The area showcases the beauty of Nepal’s hilly and mountainous landscape, surrounded by forests and fertile fields.
