About this camp: The workcamp focuses on organizing waste management and community clean-up campaigns while training locals on the 3R principles: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Volunteers will stay with host families in simple accommodations and can enjoy local sightseeing and weekend tours at additional costs.




Work: – Organize community clean-up campaigns involving local residents.- Train locals on garbage management using 3R principles.- Implement segregation, disposal, and compost fertilizer-making methodologies.- Develop a kitchen garden concept and provide training to households.- Engage with the community to enhance environmental awareness.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay with host families or in a hostel identified by VIN.- Living facilities are simple and basic, with shared areas for male and female volunteers.- Volunteers should bring their sleeping bags as they will sleep on simple beds or mattresses.



Leisure Activities: – Jitpurphedi is located 10-15 km from Kathmandu, surrounded by natural beauty.- Volunteers can go sightseeing at various local sites.- VIN organizes weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot for an additional cost.
