About this camp: This workcamp focuses on organizing a waste management and community clean-up campaign, training local people in garbage management using the 3R principles, and developing a kitchen garden concept. Volunteers will stay with host families or hostels with basic living arrangements, and can enjoy local sightseeing and weekend tours to areas like Chitwan and Pokhara.




Work: – Organize a community clean-up campaign involving local residents.- Train locals on garbage management using the 3R principles: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.- Instruct households on compost fertilizer making and segregation methods.- Develop and implement a kitchen garden concept in the community.- Engage volunteers in practical training and community activities.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay with host families or in a hostel arranged by VIN.- Living facilities are basic and shared, with separate rooms for male and female volunteers.- Volunteers are advised to bring their own sleeping bags.



Leisure Activities: – Jitpurphedi is located in a scenic area, 10-15 km from Kathmandu’s main ring road.- Opportunities for sightseeing around the community and exploring nature.- Weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot are available at an additional cost.
