About this camp: This workcamp involves conducting storytelling sessions for children aged 5-16 to foster a love for reading, organizing cleaning campaigns, and managing a garden area. Volunteers will also facilitate art and craft sessions, help children develop writing skills, and teach basic English through interactive activities while staying with host families in a simple living environment in Siddhicharan Municipality.




Work: – Conduct engaging storytelling sessions for children aged 5-16.- Sort and catalog books to create an accessible library system.- Organize cleaning campaigns and manage the garden area.- Facilitate art and craft sessions to encourage creativity.- Teach basic English through songs and interactive activities.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay with host families or a hostel identified by VIN.- Living facilities are simple and basic, with shared areas for male and female volunteers.- Volunteers should bring their sleeping bags as they will sleep on simple beds/mattresses.



Leisure Activities: – Siddhicharan Municipality Ward 2 is located in Nisankhe, Okhaldhunga district, about 250 km from Kathmandu.- A local jeep can transport volunteers in approximately 8 to 10 hours.- The area features beautiful hilly and mountainous landscapes, surrounded by forests and fertile fields.
