About this camp: Taraloka offers volunteers the chance to live as a community and practice cooperation while learning about Buddhism. Participants will gain practical skills, confidence, and experience meditation, while engaging in various work projects such as maintenance, cooking, and gardening.
Work: – Experience community living and cooperation- Learn practical skills and meditation techniques- Explore Buddhism through ethics, rituals, and discussions- Engage in maintenance, cleaning, and cooking tasks- Participate in a physically demanding work retreat for women
Accommodation and Food: – The retreat center is mostly level with communal areas on the ground floor- Shared rooms accommodate up to 4 people, with bedding provided- Three daily nutritious vegan meals are served, with cooking lessons available
Leisure Activities: – Located near Whitchurch, Shrewsbury in Shropshire, Wales- Engage in gardening and landscaping work- Opportunity to disconnect from digital devices for a peaceful retreat experience
