About this camp: Volunteers will assist in picking and collecting mangrove seedlings from the forest, replanting mangroves in open areas, and collecting non-compostable materials in the forest and sea. The project is hosted in the Kibele community south of Stone Town, where volunteers can also engage in environmental education and visit organizations focused on conservation.




Work: – Assist in picking and collecting mangrove seedlings from the forest.- Replant mangroves in open/destructed areas.- Collect non-compostable materials/garbage from the forest and sea.- Conduct environmental education and awareness activities.- Participate in educational visits to organizations working on environmental conservation.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be at the community residential house.- Volunteers can expect to share rooms with other volunteers.- Food will be provided at the project designated site, with dietary requirements to be communicated in advance.



Leisure Activities: – Visit museums and local markets in Stone Town.- Explore Jozani Forest for wildlife tours and engage in spice tours.- Enjoy Safari Blue with water sports, swimming, and marine life viewing.
