About this camp: This workcamp focuses on maintaining an organic vegetable garden through composting, weeding, and watering, while also organizing educational activities on sustainable living and healthy eating. Volunteers will learn to cook traditional foods at risk of disappearing and engage in nature conservation activities for children and their guardians. The project is located in the Urban West Region of Zanzibar, offering various tours and water sports for a complete experience of the local landscape.




Work: – Maintain an organic vegetable garden through composting, weeding, and watering activities.- Organize educational activities promoting sustainable living and healthy eating.- Teach volunteers how to cook traditional foods that are in danger of disappearing.- Facilitate nature conservation activities for children accompanied by parents or guardians.- Provide an immersive experience in the local culture and environment.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation is provided in a community residential house within the project compound.- Volunteers will share rooms during their stay.- Food, including vegetarian options, will be served at the designated project site.



Leisure Activities: – The project is hosted in the Urban West Region of Zanzibar, 20km from Stone Town.- Easily accessible by public and private transport for convenience.- Various leisure activities are offered, including tours of Stone Town, spice tours, and water sports.
