About this camp: Volunteers will engage in establishing and managing a tree nursery at the Youth center to enhance the supply of various tree species for conservation on the Island. They will participate in tree planting, environmental cleaning, waste management, and climate change education through diverse activities.




Work: – Establish and manage a tree nursery at the Youth center.- Plant trees in open and public areas on the Island.- Conduct environmental cleaning and waste management in public areas and the beach.- Provide garbage separation demonstrations.- Facilitate climate change education and awareness through workshops and creative means.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation will be at the Youth hostel.- Basic facilities like water, electricity, and toilets will be available, with shared rooms.- Food will be provided at the project designated site, and volunteers with special dietary requirements should inform before arrival.



Leisure Activities: – Mafia Island is located along the east coast of Tanzania.- It offers a variety of places to visit, including a Marine park.- Activities include swimming, water sports, eco, and cultural tourism.
