About this camp: SEEDS volunteers participate in various projects focusing on environmental conservation in collaboration with local organizations. Activities include working in forestry, vegetable greenhouses, and raising awareness about ocean pollution, all aimed at making a direct impact on the environment. The camp is set at Alvira, an environmental education centre that emphasizes hands-on learning, engagement, and fun.




Work: – Participate in forestry projects and vegetable greenhouse work- Engage in nationwide awareness campaigns regarding ocean pollution- Conduct hands-on cleanup efforts in the local area- Help maintain the environmental education centre through various tasks- Share and discuss environmental issues from home countries



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation in a basic old farm turned educational centre- Shared rooms accommodating up to 6 people; volunteers must bring sleeping bags and towels- Food provided is vegetarian, and volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning



Leisure Activities: – Located an hour southeast of Reykjavik, under Inglfsfjall with views of Eyjafjallajkull- Rich natural heritage with diverse vegetation and birdlife- Nearby hiking trails and access to the town of Selfoss for local amenities
