About this camp: The camp is based at Alvira, which offers a range of activities to connect people with nature, including community gardens, wildlife workshops, and hikes. Volunteers will help maintain the center through various tasks such as gardening and removing old fences to protect wildlife. This camp combines learning, sharing, and hands-on work, with no previous experience needed.




Work: – Volunteers will help maintain the environmental education center.- Tasks include gardening, renovating, and removing old fences.- Volunteers should share environmental issues from their home countries.- Flexibility with work and free-time schedule is required.- Some activities may change depending on the weather.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay in shared rooms at an old farm transformed into an environmental education center.- Facilities include an equipped kitchen, dining area, and bathroom; volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning.- Food provided is vegetarian; volunteers should bring their own sleeping bags and towels.



Leisure Activities: – The location offers hiking trails with maps about cultural heritage.- Volunteers can enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful setting with a stream and pond nearby.- The nearest town, Selfoss, is a 10-minute drive away, offering shops and a geothermal swimming pool.
