About this camp: SEEDS volunteers will engage in various activities such as working in forestry and vegetable greenhouses, and participating in a nationwide project addressing ocean pollution and plastic waste. Located at Alvira, an environmental education center, volunteers will also maintain the center through gardening, renovation, and wildlife protection projects while enjoying outdoor activities in a beautiful natural setting.




Work: – Participate in forestry work and vegetable greenhouse activities.- Engage in cleanup efforts and raise awareness about ocean pollution.- Maintain the environmental education center through gardening and house renovation.- Adapt to a flexible work and free-time schedule based on weather conditions.- Share environmental issues from home countries while enjoying hands-on learning.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a transformed old farm with basic facilities including a kitchen and shared rooms.- Volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning with provided vegetarian food supplies.- Bring personal items such as sleeping bags, traditional food, and recipes for intercultural evenings.



Leisure Activities: – Enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful setting with diverse nature and birdlife.- Explore hiking trails that highlight cultural heritage in the area.- Access nearby attractions in Selfoss, including shops, museums, and a geothermal swimming pool.
