About this camp: SEEDS volunteers will engage in various activities centered around environmental conservation, including forestry work, greenhouse assistance, and hands-on cleanup efforts addressing ocean pollution. The camp, located at Alvira, offers educational activities and opportunities to connect with nature, allowing volunteers to make a direct impact while sharing and learning about environmental issues.




Work: – Participate in forestry work and maintain vegetable greenhouses in the EcoVillage.- Engage in a nationwide project focusing on ocean pollution and plastic waste cleanup.- Help maintain the environmental education center through gardening and house renovations.- Share and discuss environmental issues from home countries with fellow volunteers.- Adapt and be flexible with work and free-time schedules depending on weather conditions.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a transformed old farm with basic facilities, including an equipped kitchen and shared rooms.- Volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning with vegetarian food supplies provided.- Bring personal items like sleeping bags, towels, and traditional food for intercultural evenings.



Leisure Activities: – Enjoy a peaceful location under Inglfsfjall with views of Eyjafjallajkull and rich natural heritage.- Participate in outdoor activities near a small stream and pond, with access to hiking trails.- Explore nearby Selfoss, a town with shops, cafes, and a geothermal swimming pool.
