About this camp: SEEDS volunteers will engage in various activities focused on environmental conservation, including work in forestry, vegetable greenhouses, and ocean pollution awareness projects. Located in Alvira, the camp features hands-on work, learning opportunities, and outdoor activities in a nature-rich environment, with no previous experience required.




Work: – Participate in forestry and vegetable greenhouse activities.- Engage in a nationwide project on ocean pollution and plastic waste.- Assist in maintaining the EcoVillage through gardening and renovation tasks.- Share and discuss environmental issues from home countries.- Adapt to changing work and free-time schedules based on weather conditions.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a transformed old farm with basic facilities and shared rooms.- Cooking and cleaning responsibilities lie with the volunteers, with vegetarian food provided.- Bring personal items like sleeping bags, towels, and traditional food for intercultural evenings.



Leisure Activities: – The camp is located under Inglfsfjall with views of Eyjafjallajkull, offering a peaceful environment.- Outdoor activities include hiking trails and exploring nature and wildlife.- Selfoss, the nearest town, provides commercial amenities and cultural attractions.
