About this camp: This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal activities and contribute to environmental protection by participating in outdoor cleanup tasks. Volunteers can choose between two hands-on activities, including a day trip to the Hellisheii geothermal power plant or the Reykjanes Peninsula, with a focus on learning, sharing, and fun.




Work: – Learn about global and local environmental issues through workshops and discussions.- Participate in outdoor cleanup tasks in partnership with local organizations.- Engage the local community by hosting public events.- Plan and execute individual trash cleaning projects.- Participate in day trips for hands-on volunteering activities.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a house in Reykjavik with basic facilities including shared rooms.- Volunteers are responsible for cooking and cleaning, with vegetarian food supplied.- Bring your own towel and traditional items for the intercultural evening.



Leisure Activities: – Reykjavik is a modern city that harmonizes with nature and utilizes renewable energy.- The city is the northernmost capital, connecting Europe and North America.- Enjoy a vibrant cultural scene surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.
