About this camp: SEEDS volunteers will participate in various activities such as forestry work and raising awareness about ocean pollution while engaging in hands-on cleanup efforts. The camp, based at Alvira, offers diverse activities to connect with nature and involves maintaining the center through gardening and other projects, all while fostering a learning and sharing environment.




Work: – Engage in forestry activities and vegetable greenhouse work in the EcoVillage.- Participate in nationwide projects addressing ocean pollution and plastic waste.- Maintain the center through gardening, house renovation, and wildlife protection efforts.- Share environmental issues from home countries and spend time outdoors.- Adapt to weather conditions affecting planned activities.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a basic environmental education center with shared rooms accommodating up to 6 people.- Cooking and cleaning responsibilities are assigned to volunteers, with vegetarian food provided.- Bring personal sleeping bags and towels, as well as traditional food items for intercultural evenings.



Leisure Activities: – The camp is located an hour from Reykjavik with views of natural landmarks.- Enjoy outdoor activities in a rich natural environment with hiking trails and a nearby stream.- Selfoss, the nearest town, offers amenities such as a geothermal swimming pool and local commerce.
