About this camp: Volunteers will work on the historical island of Viey for the 19th year, helping to prepare the island for the summer season by cleaning up the coastline and possibly gardening. The tasks are flexible and depend on weather conditions and the needs of the host, Reykjavk.




Work: – Volunteers will help clean up the coastline by picking up garbage and trash.- They may carry out gardening activities and maintain walking paths for visitor safety.- The working day runs from 09:00 to 17:00, with flexibility required due to weather.- Volunteers should be prepared to work in all kinds of weather.- No previous experience is necessary.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will be lodged in shared rooms in a local house on Viey Island.- They will receive vegetarian food supplies and be responsible for cooking and cleaning.- Participants must bring their own sleeping bag and are encouraged to share cultural items for an intercultural evening.



Leisure Activities: – Viey Island is home to diverse plant species and at least 30 breeding bird species.- The island is peaceful and close to the busy life of Reykjavk, with hiking and cycling paths.- It features unique sculptural artwork and archaeological sites.
