About this camp: 2025 marks the 48th anniversary of the June 16 Soweto uprising, a tragic event that galvanized the nation against apartheid. The Youth Awareness Month focuses on sports and cultural activities, providing a platform for youth engagement and community interaction, particularly through after-school activities with children.




Work: – Commemorate the 48th anniversary of the June 16 Soweto uprising.- Engage in sports and cultural activities to promote youth awareness.- Work with various communities and interact with children in after-school programs.- Conduct daily learning activities with children from 8 AM to 4 PM.- Organize and participate in collaborative sports and cultural activities from 1 PM to 5 PM.



Accommodation and Food: – Shared accommodation with other volunteers for community living.- Easy access to public transportation, shops, and entertainment facilities.- A selection of local South African and international dishes prepared by volunteers.



Leisure Activities: – Engage in cultural and sports activities in Soshanguve, Pretoria.- Collaborate with local communities for meaningful interaction.- Participate in events that acknowledge youth contributions to society.
