About this camp: The SAVWA Celebration of Arts and Culture workcamp focuses on celebrating and preserving arts and cultural activities while fostering skills development in South African history and community engagement. Volunteers will contribute to enhancing the cultural and artistic environment through various hands-on activities and collaboration with local artists.




Work: – Engaging in hands-on activities such as sculpture cleaning, ground maintenance, and painting.- Learning the craft of making art sculptures and creating beads.- Participating in cultural activities and gaining insights into South African history.- Collaborating with local artists and community members to celebrate arts and culture.- Assisting in organizing non-formal activities like English lessons and arts and crafts.



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation provided in a house in Soshanguve with shared facilities.- Participants need to bring their own sleeping bags and can expect basic amenities with some electricity interruptions.- Opportunity to taste local food and share meals with others.



Leisure Activities: – Weekends reserved for independent free tours organized by the group.- Cultural nights where volunteers can present their country and culture, including traditional dishes.- Access to various leisure and resort areas during spare time.
