About this camp: In the spirit of solidarity, understanding, and cooperation, South Africa Volunteer Work Camp Association (SAVWA) is organizing a transformative work camp in South Africa from 10 to 24 February 2025. This initiative aims to empower youth through volunteering, promote Pan-African solidarity, and address young people’s needs while fostering integration as envisioned by Pan-African ideology.




Work: – Focus on climate justice and decolonization.- Foster South-South youth exchange and cooperation.- Engage in interdisciplinary learning and practical activities.- Emphasize solidarity with the people of Palestine.- Enable participants to realize their rights and harness their potential.



Accommodation and Food: – Shared accommodation at the activity venue with simple bathrooms and showers.- Volunteers will enjoy a variety of local South African food, including vegetarian options and traditional dishes.- Participants are encouraged to bring their local dishes for cultural night preparation.



Leisure Activities: – Training in sustainable agriculture to address climate change challenges.- Creation of a 23m x 8m garden to support children from the community center.- Visits to places of interest in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Pilanesberg.
