About this camp: Volunteers will work with waste products to recycle and create usable items, focusing on education and entrepreneurial skills in local communities. RUCHI has been engaged in waste upcycling and various humanitarian actions for over four years, providing a unique opportunity to interact with locals while living in a peaceful natural environment.
Work: – Work with waste products like polythene, discarded tyres, and eco-bricks to recycle into usable items.- Participate in educational initiatives to build entrepreneurial skills among local communities.- Engage in ongoing humanitarian actions, including women empowerment and environment conservation.- Interact with local people daily to foster community relationships.- Contribute to organic farming projects as part of the workcamp activities.
Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will live on the RUCHI campus with basic amenities and library access.- Vegetarian meals will be provided, and volunteers are expected to assist the cook and occasionally prepare their own meals.- Self-management is required, and learning Indian cuisine is encouraged.
Leisure Activities: – RUCHI campus is located near Bandh village, providing a peaceful environment in the mountains.- Opportunities for self-organized city tours and excursions to local historical sites.- Visits to nearby hill stations like Kasauli and Shimla for scenic experiences.
