About this camp: The workcamp focuses on group dynamics, presentations, and discussions around the workcamp theme, while facilitating direct contact with local NGO Cercimarante to work with handicapped youth. Participants will engage in a theater performance event, promoting inclusion and community interaction in Amarante.
Work: – Engage in group dynamics and presentations to the city and region.- Discuss workcamp themes including objectives and task division.- Visit significant cultural and historical sites in Amarante.- Participate in training on theater performance and workshops addressing differences.- Collaborate with local NGO Cercimarante for activities with handicapped young people.
Accommodation and Food: – Participants will stay in shared rooms at Casa da Juventude de Amarante, accommodating 4 per room.- The youth center provides healthy meals with organic and vegetarian options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.- Facilities include self-service laundry and free wireless internet access.
Leisure Activities: – Amarante is a small town in Portugal’s Porto district, known for tourism, culture, and wine production.- The town is 60 km from Porto and close to the Oporto wine region.- It is situated in a valley near MarEpoundo mountain and crossed by the TEmega River.
