About this camp: The workcamp in Avanca 2025 focuses on preparing for a film festival, including setting up spaces, distributing posters, and installing equipment. Volunteers will assist with the reception of international guests and maintain the facilities throughout the event.




Work: – Setting up and signposting spaces for AVANCA 2025 festival- Distributing posters and adapting classrooms for workshops- Installing and testing video-informatics equipment- Cleaning and preparing the auditorium for cinema sessions- Providing check-in support and maintaining workshop rooms during the festival



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will stay in school classrooms with access to mattresses- The school has hot water bathrooms and changing rooms open 24/7- Breakfast will be provided in the school canteen, with lunches and dinners at the canteen or local restaurants



Leisure Activities: – Avanca is a parish in the municipality of Estarreja with 6,189 inhabitants- The workcamp takes place at Escola BEUsica Prof Dr Egas Moniz, the center for workshops and secretariat- The school is centrally located within the small village
