About this camp: Volunteers will interact with the community and local youth in Castelo Bom Aldeia de S. SebastiEpoundo by surveying points of interest, creating a photographic record, researching the history of the village, and preparing a multilingual explanatory document. This project aims to enhance understanding of the historic village located in the interior of Portugal, close to the Spanish border.




Work: – Survey points of interest in the Parish of Castelo Bom Aldeia de S. SebastiEpoundo- Create a photographic record of key locations identified by residents- Research the parish council archive for the history of the village- Prepare a multilingual explanatory document about the identified locations- Present the document at the Parish Assembly and evaluate the project



Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation in bungalows with 5 or 6 volunteers, equipped with internet and bed/bath linen- Kitchenette available for food preparation by volunteers- Complete amenities provided in the bungalows for volunteers’ convenience



Leisure Activities: – Aldeia de S. SebastiEpoundo has a population of 80 inhabitants near the Portugal-Spain border- The village lacks shopping, restaurants, and cafes, but the Association bar is open in summer- The work camp is situated in a quiet, historic, rural area, ideal for leisure and rest
