About this camp: This workcamp focuses on the collection and sorting of native plant seeds to create micro-reserves, along with cleaning watercourses and performing biophysical engineering interventions. Participants will also engage in nursery maintenance tasks and workshops on sustainability and water management, all taking place in a rural area near Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal.
Work: – Collection and sorting of native plant seeds for micro-reserves.- Cleaning up watercourses and controlling reeds.- Performing various nursery maintenance tasks to ensure plant survival.- Participating in a practical workshop on sustainability.- Engaging in a workshop focused on water management.
Accommodation and Food: – Participants will be accommodated in individual tents 5 km from Montemor-o-Novo.- Breakfast and snacks will be cooked by participants, while lunch and dinner are provided, except on weekends.- Participants are responsible for cleaning the common kitchen and dishes.
Leisure Activities: – The camp is located in a rural area close to Montemor-o-Novo in the Alentejo region.- The camp is a 7-minute drive from the city, with transport provided for activities.- It is approximately 100 km from Lisbon and 35 km from Evora.
