About this camp: Lohra Castle, with its centuries-old architecture and vast natural surroundings, is a site of historical significance requiring continuous care and attention. This workcamp provides volunteers the chance to support the sustainable management of the castle, engaging in maintenance tasks that preserve its aesthetic and functional integrity as a historic and natural space.




Work: – Volunteers will engage in seasonal maintenance tasks such as mowing and clearing organic material from public areas.- The workcamp plays an essential role in the long-term care of Lohra Castle, ensuring it remains accessible and welcoming for visitors.- Tasks include maintaining communal spaces that enhance the experience for cultural events and educational programs.- Volunteers take on stewardship roles, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to heritage.- Contributions directly support conservation efforts by generating income reinvested into educational projects.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay in rustic, shared accommodations within the historic site, promoting simplicity and community spirit.- Meals are prepared collectively, allowing participants to share their culinary traditions and strengthen bonds.- Food is fully provided as part of the program, with no additional costs for volunteers.



Leisure Activities: – Lohra Castle is a significant medieval fortification with a rich architectural history, including features from the 11th century.- It is located near important trade routes and commands a striking position within a natural reserve.- The site has been revitalized through efforts focusing on heritage conservation and cultural initiatives, welcoming international volunteers.
