About this camp: Lohra Castle, with its centuries-old architecture and vast natural surroundings, is a site of historical significance that requires continuous care. This workcamp enables volunteers to contribute to the sustainable management of the castle, engaging in seasonal maintenance tasks to preserve its grounds and enhance the visitor experience.




Work: – Volunteers contribute to the sustainable management of Lohra Castle.- Seasonal maintenance tasks include mowing, clearing organic material, and upkeep of communal spaces.- The work supports heritage preservation efforts indirectly through maintenance rather than direct conservation.- Volunteers experience living in a medieval site, fostering a sense of stewardship and responsibility.- The project emphasizes the balance between cultural and natural heritage conservation.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay in rustic conditions within historic sites, reflecting simplicity and community spirit.- Facilities include shared rooms, communal kitchens, and sanitary facilities, with food fully provided as part of the program.- Meals involve collective preparation, fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange among participants.
