About this camp: Lohra Castle, with its centuries-old architecture and vast natural surroundings, is a site of historical significance requiring continuous care. This workcamp allows volunteers to contribute to the sustainable management of the castle by engaging in maintenance tasks that preserve its accessibility and aesthetic integrity for future visitors.
Work: – Volunteers will perform seasonal maintenance tasks including mowing and collecting overgrown grass.- Clearing organic material from public areas is essential for maintaining the castle’s visual integrity.- Maintenance extends to communal spaces and halls, enhancing visitor experiences.- Income generated supports the castle’s conservation and educational projects.- Volunteers experience a unique immersion in a medieval site, fostering a sense of stewardship.
