About this camp: This workcamp focuses on supporting the harvesting and shipping of Shikimi (Illicium anisatum) during its peak season while fostering international exchange with local children. Participants will engage in cleaning vacant houses, removing furniture, trimming trees, and picking up plastic waste, alongside activities to enhance English signage for foreign pilgrims, all while staying in local farmhouses.




Work: – Support the harvesting and shipping of Shikimi (Illicium anisatum).- Engage in international exchange with local children.- Clean vacant houses and remove furniture.- Trim abandoned forest cedar and cypress trees.- Pick up plastic waste from rivers and oceans.



Accommodation and Food: – Home staying at local farmhouses.- All meals will be cooked by volunteers by turns.- Sleeping bag is NOT necessary.



Leisure Activities: – Located in Oi-cho, Anan city, Tokushima pref.- Leisure activity includes visiting Kakurin-ji temple.- Engage with the local environment during free time.
