About this camp: This workcamp focuses on the conservation of satoyama and agriculture in the Kami-mitani area, where volunteers will engage in activities such as clearing undergrowth, transporting woods for shiitake mushroom cultivation, and maintaining walking trails. Volunteers will also assist with cage-free chickens and may work alongside mentally/physically challenged individuals, all while embracing a fun attitude towards hard work.




Work: – Clear undergrowth and tend thickets- Transport hodagaki woods for shiitake mushroom cultivation- Maintain walking trails- Assist in caring for cage-free chickens and processing adult chickens- Work with saws and machinery, often in challenging weather conditions



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in a regular Japanese house- Meals cooked by volunteers on a rotating basis- Showers available every two days, depending on work and environmental considerations



Leisure Activities: – Located in Kami-mitani area, Nabari city, Mie prefecture, about 60 km from Osaka- Famous falls nearby that attract many hikers- Additional activities include hiking
