About this camp: Volunteers will assist with an organic farm in Otari village, Japan, engaging in activities such as harvesting rice, planting vegetables, and cooking. The work schedule is demanding, from 05:30 to 18:00, offering a great opportunity for physical exercise amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Northern Alps.




Work: – Help with harvesting and threshing rice on the organic farm.- Plant vegetables and take care of animals.- Prepare meals with community members on a rotating basis.- Carry supplies to the Maki farm and assist with rice harvesting.- Engage in physically demanding work for the duration of the camp.



Accommodation and Food: – Shared room accommodation for volunteers and community members.- Meals prepared collaboratively with community participation.- Sleeping bags are not necessary and limited WiFi is available.



Leisure Activities: – Otari village is located in a region of stunning natural beauty near the Japanese Northern Alps.- The nearest train station, Minami-Otari, is a 40-50 minute walk away.- Leisure activities include an exchange program and possible excursions to Hakuba.
