About this camp: Volunteers will engage in terraced rice field conservation and pesticide-free agriculture in the devastated mountainous areas, focusing on organic vegetable and rice management, crop production, and restoration of deserted farmland. Accommodation is provided in an old Japanese house with shared facilities, and volunteers are encouraged to cook for themselves while respecting local customs.




Work: – Manage and harvest organic vegetables and rice.- Produce crops in terraced rice paddies.- Restore deserted terraced rice paddies and abandoned farmland.- Plan and manage events to promote organic crops.- Participate in sustainable agricultural practices.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay in an old Japanese house next to the local host’s.- Shared kitchen and shower facilities with the local host.- Volunteers cook by themselves and smoking is not allowed.



Leisure Activities: – Located in Gose city, Nara prefecture, about 50 km southeast of Osaka.- Join local events and learn local wisdom.- Opportunities for sightseeing and short trips to hot springs, temples, and shrines.
