About this camp: Volunteers will engage in terraced rice field conservation and pesticide-free agriculture in the devastated mountainous areas, including the management and harvesting of organic vegetables and rice, restoration of abandoned farmland, and event planning to promote organic crops. Accommodation is provided in an old Japanese house with shared facilities, and volunteers will also have opportunities to participate in local events and sightseeing.




Work: – Management and harvesting of organic vegetables and rice.- Crop production in terraced rice paddies.- Restoration of deserted terraced rice paddies and abandoned farmland.- Planning and management of events to promote organic crops.- Engaging in pesticide-free agricultural practices.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers stay at an old Japanese house next to the local host’s.- The kitchen and shower are shared with the local host.- Volunteers cook by themselves.



Leisure Activities: – Located in Gose city, Nara pref., about 50 km southeast of Osaka.- Join local events and learn about local wisdom.- Opportunities for sightseeing, including hot springs, temples, and shrines.
