About this camp: Volunteers primarily engage in organic agriculture activities, including cultivation, seeding, weeding, harvesting, and animal care. They will also assist with house renovations, construction, and cooking, while participating in daily meetings and collective life. The work schedule is demanding, running from 05:30 to 18:00, and volunteers will reside in a culturally significant house with basic amenities.




Work: – Cultivate, seed, weed, and harvest organic crops.- Care for goats, cows, and chickens, including feed preparation.- Transport goods from the town to Maki.- Assist in renovating houses and maintaining trails.- Participate in daily meetings and engage in collective living.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will live in a historically significant main house with basic facilities.- Meals are prepared collaboratively with Kyodo Gakusha members, and sleeping bags are not required.- There is no wifi available.



Leisure Activities: – Maki is situated near the beautiful Japanese Northern Alps at around 900 meters above sea level.- The area retains cultural aspects lost in many modern Japanese regions.- Optional excursions, including a possible visit to the famous tourism spot Hakuba, are available on free days.
