About this camp: Volunteers primarily engage in organic agriculture activities such as cultivation, seeding, weeding, and harvesting, as well as caring for livestock and assisting with local construction and renovations. Participants live in a culturally rich main house equipped with basic facilities and participate in communal cooking and meetings, fostering a strong sense of community while enjoying the natural beauty of the area.




Work: – Engage in organic agriculture tasks including seeding, weeding, and harvesting.- Care for goats, cows, and chickens, and help in making their feeds.- Transport supplies from the town to Maki.- Participate in daily meetings and communal life activities.- Assist with renovations and construction of huts, as well as help with cooking.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers reside in a culturally significant main house with essential amenities such as water, electricity, and kitchen facilities.- Meals are prepared collaboratively by volunteers and Kyodo Gakusha members.- Sleeping bags are not required, and there is no Wi-Fi available.



Leisure Activities: – Maki is located near the Japanese Northern Alps, providing a scenic and culturally rich environment.- Opportunities for an exchange program with local members.- Possible excursions to nearby tourist attractions like Hakuba on free days.
