About this camp: Volunteers mainly work in organic agriculture, engaging in tasks such as cultivation, seeding, weeding, and harvesting, as well as caring for animals and assisting with house renovations. Active participation in daily meetings and collective life is essential, with work hours typically from 05:30 to 18:00. Accommodation is provided in a cultural heritage house with basic facilities, and meals are prepared collaboratively with Kyodo Gakusha members.




Work: – Engage in organic agriculture tasks including cultivation, seeding, weeding, and harvesting.- Care for goats, cows, and chickens, including making their feeds.- Transport supplies from the town to Maki and assist in renovating houses and trails.- Construct a hut and help with daily household tasks, particularly cooking.- Participate actively in daily meetings and collective life.



Accommodation and Food: – Volunteers will live in a beautiful cultural heritage house equipped with basic facilities.- Meals will be prepared by volunteers together with Kyodo Gakusha members, fostering social interaction.- No sleeping bags are required, and there is no wifi available.



Leisure Activities: – Maki is located near the Japanese Northern Alps, offering a scenic environment.- Opportunities for exchange programs and excursions on free days, potentially to the famous tourism spot Hakuba.- Experience a lifestyle that retains traditional elements often lost in modernization.
