About this camp: Volunteers will engage in various agricultural activities, including cultivating rice, assisting in local green tea and vegetable farming, supporting events at Sansojuku, and caring for goats. The camp is located in the Yame city of Fukuoka prefecture, offering opportunities to learn local wisdom and participate in sightseeing activities.
Work: – Cultivating rice through planting and maintaining terraced fields.- Assisting local farms with green tea, rice, and vegetable production.- Supporting Sansojuku events with promotion and staff assistance.- Taking care of goats on a daily basis.- Participating in local events and learning opportunities.
Accommodation and Food: – Accommodation at Egao no mori center, previously an elementary school.- Volunteers are responsible for cooking their own meals.- Facilities are designed to support a communal living environment.
Leisure Activities: – Explore the southern part of Fukuoka prefecture, known for its terraced paddy fields and tea trees.- Participate in local cultural events to gain insights into the community.- Enjoy sightseeing trips to hot springs and other famous attractions.
