About this camp: Volunteers will engage in terraced rice field conservation and pesticide-free agriculture in the devastated mountainous areas, focusing on the management and harvesting of organic vegetables and rice, crop production in terraced rice paddies, and restoration of deserted terraced rice paddies. Volunteers stay at an old Japanese house next to the local host’s, sharing kitchen and shower facilities.




Work: – Engage in terraced rice field conservation and pesticide-free agriculture.- Manage and harvest organic vegetables and rice.- Produce crops in terraced rice paddies.- Restore deserted terraced rice paddies and abandoned farmland.- Plan and manage events to promote organic crops.



Accommodation and Food: – Stay at an old Japanese house next to the local host’s.- Share kitchen and shower facilities with the local host.- Cook by themselves; smoking is not allowed.



Leisure Activities: – Located in Gose city, Nara pref., about 50 km southeast of Osaka.- Join local events and learn local wisdom.- Enjoy sightseeing and short trips to hot springs, temples, and shrines.
